How Music Effects Us

Post by Admin on Fri Mar 25, 2011 9:59 am

This website was started with the Bible in mind... so to start this topic out lets look at a Biblical reference.

Galatians 6:6-10 (New King James Version)
Be Generous and Do Good
6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

The main idea to get from this is you get out what you put in. For example, if we constantly listen to degrading music and vulgar language. Then it becomes easier to degrade other people and use vulgar language ourselves.

Speaking of Vulgar Language:
"It coarsens, blurrs boundries and causes a lack of respect. This will continue to lead a society that will loose its heros and standard bearers. When that happens, we could end up in a hopeless society." Source - http://loud-time.blogspot.com/2006/06/dirty-talk.html

"Swearing Imposes a Personal Penalty: It gives a bad impression, It makes you unpleasant to be with, It endangers your relationships, It's a tool for whiners and complainers, It reduces respect people have for you, It shows you don't have control, It's a sign of a bad attitude, It discloses a lack of character, It's immature, It reflects ignorance, It sets a bad example

Swearing is Bad for Society: It contributes to the decline of civility, It represents the dumbing down of America, It offends more people than you think, It makes others uncomfortable, It is disrespectful of others, It turns discussions into arguments
It can be a sign of hostility, It can lead to violence

Swearing corrupts the English language: It's abrasive, lazy language, It doesn't communicate clearly, It neglects more meaningful words, It lacks imagination, It has lost its effectiveness. Source - http://www.cusscontrol.com/swearing.html

The Push For Better Lyrics and it's Admin do not necessarily agree with or support all of the content of the websites used.

If you have info you would like to add to help others, Please do. Thats what this website is all about.
